Ponceau S Staining Solution is supplied ready to use, and can be applied directly to visualize protein bands on the transfer membrane to confirm if proteins were successfully blotted.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. After transfer, rinse the PVDF or NC (nitrocellulose) membrane briefly in distilled water, PBS, TBST, or other buffers of choice.
2. Immerse the membrane in Ponceau S Staining Solution for 5-10 minutes with gentle agitation.
3. Rinse the membrane briefly with the small amount of distilled water to confirm protein bands appeared.
4. To de-stain, rinse the membrane several times with fresh distilled water, PBS, TBST, or other buffers of choice until the membrane is clear.
5. Continue with the blocking step for Western Blot, or other procedure for further analysis.
